It has been a year since two local businesspeople founded Merchant Business Brokers with a view to establish a superior business brokerage with an outstanding outcome for both buyers and sellers.

Leading business brokers and founders, Shane Fox and Ian Jones, have listed and/or sold over $80M worth of businesses, with 75 businesses across over 30 industries.

Shane said that the support from the entire business community prompted them to hold an event to mark their one-year anniversary.

The Merchant Business Brokers hosted an intimate gathering at The Edwards on Friday 22 September 2017.

The event launched their inaugural Business Broker of the Year award, but was primarily an opportunity for them to thank the buyers and sellers, stakeholders and friends, for their support.

Adding to the celebration, that evening the firm received the prestigious Financial & Real Estate Services award and Shane won the Business Leader of the Year award at the Hunter Region Business Excellence Awards.
